Artist Residency at Alice Yard

Happy to share that I’ve been an artist in residence at Alice Yard for the past month. I’ve been developing new work at Granderson Lab in Trinidad, supported by artists Christopher Cozier and Kriston Chen.

I’m currently researching and experimenting for a work that involves myth-making and character building; in which a snake sheds it's skin and becomes a river.

Feeling grateful for the ways that serendipity and intuition impact and inform my creative process.

1: my neighbours at Wasamaki Permaculture found a recently shed snakeskin at their farm and helped me get it down from their roof today

2: notes from the void

3: yesterday's tattoo for Glenn, a woman turning into a snake, turning into a river, Mama D'leau; ft. a birthmark shaped like Tobago

4: more notes

5: oracle card readings and reflections

6: drawing in the grass
